A number of the Turgis team are active members of their respective professional institutions and some are past presidents.

We have a bursary study scheme where preference is given to HDSA students who would otherwise not be able to afford tertiary education.

Turgis also supports the Minerals Education Trust Fund both financially and through committee work and takes an active interest in the future of mining education offered by the tertiary institutions.

A number of the team are involved in part-time lecturing and as external examiners.
